Liberty Effluent and Septic Pumps
Liberty effluent pumps are designed for on-site wastewater systems where treated or partially treated effluent must be moved from a septic tank to a drain field, sand filter, or secondary treatment stage. These pumps handle the clarified liquid that remains after solids settle in a septic tank — a lighter-duty application than sewage pumping, but one that demands reliable, long-term performance in buried installations.
Effluent pumps are selected based on the required flow rate (gallons per minute), total dynamic head (the vertical and friction distance the pump must push the liquid), solids handling capability (typically 3/4" for effluent), and discharge connection size. Most residential septic systems use 1-1/2" or 2" discharge effluent pumps in the 1/2 HP to 1 HP range.
Liberty effluent pumps feature corrosion-resistant construction for long service life in buried applications, automatic float switches for unattended operation, and motor designs rated for the intermittent duty cycles typical of septic systems. Choose from simplex (single pump) or duplex (dual pump with alternation) configurations depending on your system's redundancy requirements and local health department regulations.
