Liberty Sewage Pumps
Liberty sewage pumps move raw sewage — both liquids and solids — from a collection basin to a municipal sewer system or septic tank. These pumps are the backbone of residential and commercial plumbing systems where gravity drainage to the sewer line is not possible, such as basement bathrooms, below-grade laundry rooms, and any fixture installed below the sewer main elevation.
Sewage pumps differ from sump and effluent pumps in one critical way: solids handling. A sump pump is designed for clear water. An effluent pump handles small suspended particles. A sewage pump must pass whole solids (typically 2" spherical) without clogging. Selecting the wrong pump type for a sewage application leads to clogs, backups, and property damage.
Liberty sewage pumps are available in 1/2 HP to 2 HP configurations with 2" to 3" discharge connections. Select based on the number of fixtures connected to the basin, the total dynamic head (vertical lift plus friction in the discharge line), the basin size, and the solids handling requirement. Cast iron construction is standard across the line for durability and heat dissipation during extended run cycles.
