Description
The Grundfos 96123994 (CRE 64-2-2 A-F-A-E-HQQE) is a Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump — Variable Speed. Cast iron head and base, stainless steel wetted parts, with integrated variable frequency drive and IE5-rated permanent magnet motor for energy-optimized pressure control. Nominal performance: 339US gpm at 141.4ft. Rated 380-480V, 3.0-Phase, 60 Hz. Applications include HVAC: Heating, HVAC: Air Conditioning, Plumbing: Pressure Boosting and more.
Integrated Variable Frequency Drive
The VFD is built into the pump head — no external drive cabinet, no panel wiring, no drive-to-motor cable. Reduces panel space, installation cost, and failure points.
IE5 Permanent Magnet Motor
CRE uses a Grundfos MGE permanent magnet motor rated IE5 — the highest commercially available efficiency class. Significant energy reduction vs IE3 motors at partial load.
Proportional Pressure Control
AUTOADAPT automatically adjusts set point based on actual system demand. No manual curve adjustment needed after commissioning.

CRE supports Grundfos GO app, CIM communication modules (PROFIBUS, MODBUS, BACnet), and remote monitoring. Full integration into building management systems.
Soft Start Built In
The integrated drive provides controlled ramp-up, eliminating water hammer and reducing mechanical stress on seals and couplings at every start.
Pump Protection Built In
Dry-run protection, over-temperature shutdown, and motor current monitoring are standard in every CRE. No external protection relay required.
