Description
The Barnes PUMP, 240 (1 phase) pump, pgpt1022auf, retfit. Residential Grinder Pump designed to reduce domestic sewage to finely ground slurry using exclusive Slicerator™ cutting system backed by 40 years of excellence. Series capacity up to 18 gpm at 220 ft head.
Grinder Mechanism — Macerates Solids Before Pumping
Stainless steel cutting ring and impeller macerate waste, wipes, and non-dispersible materials to a fine slurry before pumping — required for low-pressure sewer systems where raw sewage would block small-diameter discharge piping.
Low-Pressure Sewer Compatible
Designed to force slurry through small-diameter discharge piping uphill and over long horizontal runs — the correct pump type for below-grade plumbing where gravity connection to the municipal sewer is not possible.
Stainless Steel Cutting Components — Long Service Life
Stainless steel cutter components maintain sharp edges over extended service and resist corrosion from the sewage environment. Self-cleaning cutting action prevents material buildup on cutter surfaces.
Automatic Float Control
Float switch provides fully automatic operation — activates on rising basin level and deactivates when the basin empties. High-level alarm float provides early warning before overflow conditions develop.
Pre-Assembled Systems Available
Complete pre-assembled grinder packages available with basin, guide rails, and controls — one shipment, one installation, no component compatibility concerns.
Crane Pumps & Systems — SGV Industry Standard
Barnes and Deming grinder pumps are manufactured by Crane Pumps & Systems — one of the most recognized names in residential and municipal grinder pump applications.
