Float controls activate the pump at preset water levels and shut it off after the basin is emptied. Simplex panels manage a single pump, while duplex panels alternate between two pumps to equalize wear and provide backup if one pump fails. Alarm systems alert building owners to high water conditions before flooding occurs — a requirement in many building codes for below-grade installations.
Before selecting a control, confirm your system requirements: voltage (115V or 230V), phase (single or three-phase), motor amperage, and whether you need alternation, alarm contacts, or both. For duplex sewage or grinder installations, panels with built-in alternation and high-water alarms are standard.
